Fuwa Fuwa Fluffy Pancakes

No matter how wintery and dark it’s getting outside, these super fluffy, Soufflé and light pancakes will brighten up any day!
Fuwa Fuwa located in the Bruswick Centre, London (just behind Warren St station), is apparently the FIRST Japanese Soufflé dessert in the UK. Their souffle Pancakes look and taste incredibly airy, just like ‘eating a cloud!’ – so unusual, and definitely not your typical pancake pudding! Be prepared to wait though, so make sure you’re not in a rush. These are made to order and waiting time’s at least 15-20 minutes, I had the ones with banana and nutella – and obviously, these were devoured within minutes :)
In Japan, they call this kind of texture “Fuwa Fuwa” which is a mimetic word which means “Fluffy”. It was great how the cafe provided high chairs for younger kids, with a colourful blow up unicorn (feature) at the bottom of the cafe which I couldn’t keep little Alice away from – the staff were very smiley and helpful too. A yummy dessert with a whimsical twist and worth all the calories too.
