28 Days of Kindness – Day 18

Beatroot Vegetarian Café, LondonEncourage Someone
Encouraging someone who needs it. Whether it’s a friend, sibling, parent, child or colleague, a little support or recognition could make a world of difference to their day. My colleague at work, Keith is currently on a 30 days meat-free diet, where he lives and eats as a vegetarian for 30 days. Being someone who loves his meat this could prove to be a really difficult task, so right from the beginning of Keith’s challenge I told him that I’d go meat-free with him during work hours! I knew I could encourage Keith with words, and by going meat-free with him too it would help him to persevere with his vegetarian task (to build self-confidence and succeed). It has also strengthened our friendship and made lunchtimes a lot more fun, by discovering new and interesting places that sell vegetarian meals. Plus, it feels good to give praise (and to receive it!) .It is so simple to do; act now and go encourage someone!

If you’re looking for tasty creative vegetarian food or not keen on too much meat, then give Beatroot Vegetarian Café on Berwick ST in Soho, London a try – a v.small, hip and healthy cafe. They do takeaway boxes too and freshly made fruit smoothies & vegan cakes. Great for a meat free lunch at a very affordable price!
