28 Days of Kindness (Day 13)

28 Days of Kindness – Day 13Favourite Things – Scoops of Sweet Happiness
Today was a friend’s birthday and I love surprising my friends on their birthdays whenever I can! My friend lived up in Sheffield and due to work commitments in London I wasn’t able to hand deliver a present for surprise him. Ice cream (apart from great cakes) are one of my favourite desserts – I see them as scoops of sweet happiness. So on Day 13, I called up the local ice cream maker in my home city (Sheffield) and placed an order for some delicious ice cream, brownies and cookies to have delivered asap to my friend’s house. I asked the person on the phone to also write a birthday note to accompany the bag of treats – afterall you can’t beat a good handwritten note!

I hope my friend enjoyed his birthday surprise….

Often, eventhough we could be miles away from people we care about it, this shouldn’t stop us showing that we care and think about them. Two people can be right next to each other, yet miles apart. We shouldn’t ignore someone we care about, because a lack of concern could hurt more than angry words. Stay in better touch with people who matter to you – right, time to call mum me thinks! – have a great weekend everyone! :)
