Please meet Farmer Derek, owner of Barn Park Farm
Last weekend was Open Farm Sunday (June 12), where it was my chance to hi-five my local farmer and to thank him for his great work and tasty produce. Here’s me with Farmer Derek owner of Barn Park Farm in Honiton, Devon (see photo above) – I was down in Devon for a friend’s wedding.
Last Sunday, despite the horrendous rain, I took time to ‘soak up’ the green scenery, experience at first hand what it means to be a farmer, taste their homemade and grown produce – to really get in touch with the land that feeds Missie. Derek and his wife (Pam) were lovely and gave me a couple jars of homemade jams (they really do know MC very well! :)
