28 Days of Kindness (Day 1)

02 February 2014

28 Days of Kindness – Thanks a bunchFrom first hand experience I know, a simple deed like paying a compliment or being treated to a cup of coffee can go a really long way.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what brings me happiness. Sure, I love a good slice of ‘posh’ cake and a great looking notebook…but making other people happy really tops that list. So, on 1st February 2014, I’ve decided to take part in the ’28 Days of Kindness Game’. For the next 28 days I must give a gift of kindness at least once a day and to never give to receive. Aiming to do what I can with what I have – let’s see what happens to me by the end of the month…..

My goal is to improve my own personal well-being but at the same time, to give back to the community and remind others that no matter where they are in their lives, there are ways to enjoy the love and kindness we have around us. Everyday, for the entire month of February, I’ll be posting on my social media networks pinterest, instagram, twitter and facebook, ideas, handwritten reminders & prompts and stories of good deeds happening around the world. I’ve got lots of ideas, and look forward to sharing things that makes me happy with others too – the possibilities are endless! Maybe it’s something I/you do for someone we/you love or maybe it’s a for complete stranger. Those moments of kindness (happiness) are so important to give others.

Caption for illustration above: I went to the local fair and picked up 28 uncoloured balloons, each balloon represents a day in February, each kind act I put to action will see the balloon fill up with colour!
