Paper and Cup – Cafe Inspiration

18 May 2014

Paper and Cup, ShoreditchPaper and Cup, ShoreditchA bit of weekend site-seeing always does the trick, and especially when it’s finding new coffee shops for that all important cake stop, and that’s how I discovered Paper & Cup.

Located off the beaten Shoreditch track in London, Paper & Cup is a very small, quaint café oozing with charm and bright natural light from their floor to ceiling windows, and with one wall full of second hand books you can read and buy for a small price, with books filling the interior there were also local artwork on the walls and bespoke branded goods on shelves to buy. This was a lovely book shop selling proper ‘good’ coffee and cakes too, I had their Summer Berry Victoria Sponge cake and it was heavenly!

Want a Socially Responsible Flat White? Paper & Cup is a place giving people in recovery and unemployment real work experience & training: a place where people can grow & learn on the job. You can find out more about the coffee shop’s ethos and what they do to help others here. So, all profits from my cake craving went to somewhere nice.

Their coffee was terrific, made using Union Roasted coffee beans, so next time when you’re in the area, why not pop in for a coffee with a good book, and nestle down for a well deserved hideaway break – Missie Cindz
