It’s a Park Life…
Endcliffe Park Cafe
(@endparkcafe) is a family-friendly cafe located in the lovely Endcliffe Park, by a river and an open play area. The place looked so welcoming and cosy from the outside – I couldn’t resist not popping in for a cuppa. I would actually live in there! The main entrances to the Park are off Hunters Bar and Rustlings Road with some public car parking available within the park and in the surrounding area. I found the cafe good value and in a really nice spot.

This quaint, pavilion styled cafe offers something for all the family. It is simple but quite an institution, serving a variety of light bites and main meals to either take away or eat in, all freshly prepared on site daily. The menu has a range of snacks, hot and cold sandwiches, toasties, milkshakes, homemade cakes, ice creams, hot and cold drinks. With tables inside and lots of seats out on the grass – making it a great meeting place if you’ve got young children, pushchairs, dogs, or just muddy shoes! There were some cafe benches outside the cafe too which was quite nice to sit and watch children playing frisbee with their parents, students sunbathing in the sunshine or fellow walkers taking a cosy stroll along the park’s footpath. Nice.

The cafe also offers a small ‘book swap’ section, which I found was a nice, personal touch to the place. Diners can leave one of their most-loved books, donating the book to the cafe for other readers, and then pick up another book in exchange. So if there’s been a book that has inspired you and you feel every other person should read it – then now is your chance to spread the word.

I could literally hang out here all day feeling good…read one of their books or catch up with friends over drinks sat in the sunshine. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city-centre life and taste a slice of real Park Life – Missie/Cindy :)
