Jean Philippe Patisserie (JPP) is a popular bakery in Las Vegas that specialises in pastries, individuals desserts and handmade chocolates. I was utterly stunned by their highly attractive displays with two main stores located in the Bellagio and Aria. Their store in Bellagio is more of a shop where you can purchase their food ‘on the go’, there are a few stools available but you wouldn’t really sit in comfort as it’s so busy and small! whereas the one in Aria, is much bigger and offers a ‘sit down’ area and more food choice – you’ll find cakes, crepes, panini sandwiches, pastries, cookies and a variety of chocolates featuring an exclusive line of bonbon sweet and handmade truffles. If you are a fan of ice cream you will be pleased with their offer of 24 house-made ice cream flavours – I enjoyed their Tiramisu flavour.

The Largest Chocolate Fountain in the World

JPP at the Bellagio, people would stop in the middle of the corridor taking pictures and video of this (see above photo): the largest chocolate fountain/waterfall in the world. I took pictures aswell – it was hard not to. Gawping, Ooohing and ahhhing at what was on offer. I was amazed. White chocolate, dark chocolate, and a mix of the white and dark chocolate flow down from the top to the bottom, aided by glass pieces.

From a plaque hung on the wall next to the fountain I’m informed this fountain took 2 years of enginering, planning and design. The result is a genius work of kinetic sculpture and a daring feat of engineering. Standing 27-feet tall, the fountain circulates more than 2,100 pounds of melted dark, milk and white chocolate at a rate of 120 quarts per minute. Incredible – Wonka, move over!

Treats at JPP are not exactly the cheapest desserts and chocolates, but they are so worth it and great as gifts.

Jean Philippe Patisserie’s desserts are seriously dangerous cakes – everything you see and eat here is indulgent. If you’re like me, you will stand there taking pictures. Jean Philippe Patisserie at Aria, instead of the chocolate fountain feature at Bellagio – I was stunned by their handmade chocolate blossom tree, flowers and dragon (see photo above). For decoration, there were also some Easter eggs placed around the Cafe for display only.
