During Movember (the month formerly known as November), for many Mo Bros, growing a moustache is something new (and I’ve been told, scary too). They are worried about how they’ll look and concerned with the first time feeling of tickly lip whiskers (I actually find the ‘tache quite cute :). They may need to be reminded that they have taken inspirational action to change the face of men’s health. They have courageously decided to grow a moustache to support men’s health and cancer’s affecting men – this should be rewarded!

I’m supporting the moustache and men’s health – not by growing a Mo myself but as a supportive “Missie” Mo Sista. I’m helping raise funds and awareness because I’m passionate about getting guys to tackle their own health issues by being proactive in the fight against men’s depression and prostate cancer. As a Mo Sista, I’m going to do my best to show support in a number of ways by suggesting they (Mo Bros) begin by getting comfortable with the moustache – touch it, get to know it, love it! I have already jumped right into Movember by joining a team (Tickle My Cheeks), donating to the Mo Bros in my life, I will do my best to help rally support for the cause and attend a highly anticipated Gala Parte at the end of the month (are there any being held in Sheffield?) – or you never know, I might even hold my own hairy gathering as a ‘Well Done’ to the Mo Bros for their fab ‘tache work! :)

Sponser Me, A “Mo Sista” for Movember? To donate online you can visit my Mo Sista ‘Donations’ page: http://mosista.co/MissieCindz click on the ‘Donations’ menu on the left and follow the instructions then pay using your credit card or PayPal account OR you can write a cheque payable to ‘Movember Foundation’, referencing my Registration Number 2294048 (Cindy Cheung) and mailing it to: Movember Europe, PO Box 68600 London EC1P 1EF
Finally, I wonder if there is some food or drink that my Mo Bros can try that will make their MO grow quicker!? Sheffield food producers or food experts reading my post, please get in touch and let us know (post your comments below).

Before I forget, available now on draft in the good ol’ Rutland Arms is the Techmophobeer – The Rutland and the very talented (and super fun) guys from Technophobia have got together to create their very own special brew created under the careful supervision of Blue Beer Brewery, 10p from every pint sold will be donated to Movember so if you can make it, pop down for a spot of lunch this month or evening tea washed down with a local pint of Techmophobeer – enjoy your pint in aid of Movember :)

The money raised by Movember is used to raise awareness of men’s health issues and donated to the The Prostate Cancer Charity – who will use the money raised to fund key programmes that are making a real difference to the lives of men and their families affected by prostate cancer. Fighting prostate cancer on every front – through research, support, information and campaigning.

Thanks for your support.
